Rykka is a singer-songwriter who grew up in Vancouver, Canada, but now calls Switzerland home. She started out as an acoustic folk artist under her real name Christina Maria before reinventing herself as Rykka with an alternative pop sound.

Her Eurovision song for 2016, ‘The Last Of Our Kind’, written with her friends Mike James, Jeff Dawson and Warne Livesey, is a ballad about 'standing for love at the end of the world'.

As well taking part in Eurovision, this year Rykka will be touring and releasing an album, ‘Beatitudes’.
