Nicky Byrne (Ireland): 'Sunlight'

Ireland’s Nicky Byrne is no stranger to the stage having achieved success with an incredible 14 UK No.1 singles with Westlife. He’s performed Stockholm’s Globe Arena with the band and says he can’t wait to return - this time as Ireland's Eurovision entrant singing 'Sunlight'.

Nicky's also an accomplished goalkeeper, in the past he's played for Leeds United Football Club for two years and the Republic of Ireland’s Under-15s, Under-16s and Under-18s teams.

His appointment as Ireland's Eurovision entrant was chosen via internal selection rather than public vote. Some might say there's no better man for the job as he's acted as the country's official spokesperson, reading out the results during the Grand Final for the last number of years.
