IVAN (Belarus): 'Help You Fly'
Written by: V.Drobysh, A.Ivanov, T.Leontiev, M.Applegate
Ivan was born Alexander Ivanov in 1994 in Gomel, Belarus. A relative veteran of TV singing competitions, Ivan won young artist contest, 5 Stars, in 2014 and became a finalist in another show, Main Stage, in 2015. Now turning his attention to Eurovision 2016, his song Help You Fly was written by the Russian composer and producer Victor Drobysh who famously also wrote the lyrics for Party For Everybody, sang by Buranovskiye Babushki (the Russian Grannies) in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.
There will be one unexpected character except me on the stage. Just wait and see!Ivan
Excited by this year’s competition Ivan says, “it’s crazy to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest! Sometimes I wake up in the morning, do my normal daily routine and the thought strikes me suddenly like a bolt of lightning: I am going to the Eurovision Song Contest! I can’t believe it! It's so cool!"
Lyrics - 'Help You Fly'
I will help you learn how to fly, how to fly
Do you remember when you were younger
You didn't worry for a day
Now all the questions and no direction
They make your reasons insane
It's time you released yourself
Before you can let go
I will help you learn how to fly, how to fly
Free, leave all the madness behind, far behind
You feel like you ate the poison
It's time to heal you from the pain
I know that you've been the hunted
I want to free you again
It's time you released yourself
Before you can let go
I will help you learn how to fly, how to fly
Free, leave all the madness behind, far behind
If I can fly then you can
If I can fly then you can fly
If I can fly then you can fly
If I can fly (If I can fly)
If I can fly
I will help you learn how to fly, how to fly
Free, leave all the madness behind, far behind
All behind
