Born in Armenia in 1986, Iveta was educated in Germany where she studied linguistics before realising her true calling - music. This resulted in a return to her home country and a spell at the Yerevan State Conservatory and a course in vocal jazz technique . She later went on to compete in the Armenian version of Idol in 2010 and The Voice of Germany in 2012.

Iveta was chosen to represent Eurovision by internal selection by the Public Television Company of Armenia. The song ‘LoveWave’ was chosen after an open submission was announced by the broadcaster, composed by Lilith and Leon Navasardyan Iveta wrote the lyrics alongside Stephanie Crutchfield.
