My song takes the audience on a journey in a colourful fantasy world
ZOË

It was 19 year-old Zoe Straub’s second attempt to represent Austria at Eurovision, and in February this year she was successfully chosen out of 10 acts competing in the Austrian pre-selection show.

An actress and TV personality, Viennese Zoe’s talents run in her genes - her father Christof is one half of Austrian folk-pop group Papermoon.

A singer-songwriter since 2013, Zoe’s first musical collaborations were with her dad and her French language Eurovision song ‘Lion d’ici’ was written by the father / daughter duo.

Zoe’s first memory of Eurovision was secretly listening to the competition, unbeknown to her parents who were watching - "I guess I was some five years old. I should have been fast asleep, but I eavesdropped at the door."

Lyrics - 'Loin d'ici'

When you sing
I will sing along
When you go for it
I follow

And when you fly
Yes I will fly with you
When you go for it
I follow

In a land, far from here
Searching for the paradise
In an land far from here
They're singing
x2

Even if the road seems to be a dead end
If you go for it
I follow

Without any doubt
Even if we would be lost
Without any doubt
I'd follow you

In a land, far from here
Searching for the paradise
In an land far from here
They're singing
x2

They sing and they dance
And they laugh, they go for it, all together, tipsy, into carelessness

In a land, far from here
Searching for the paradise
In an land far from here
They're singing
x2
