Hole 6 at Oakland Hills
356 yards, par four

BBC TV golf commentator

A really good positional tee shot is needed here.

The flag position will determine which side of the fairway the ball needs to land.

It is generally a holding fairway so there will not be much run and most players will use a club that they can hit 250 yards, which should be a two-iron, or maybe a four-wood.

The second shot will lead on to a narrow green. It is a two-level surface - the front is flat while the back area is very small.

Most will be hitting with a shortish iron, so controlling the backspin will prove difficult.

Some players may choose to employ a driver off the tee so they are left with a little chip on to the green.
