Hole 3 at Oakland Hills
198 yards, par three

Ken Brown
By Ken Brown
BBC TV golf commentator

The hole plays a little downhill, with the green lying across you from right to left - club selection will be all important.

It is not a particularly wide green and there are two areas where they can put the flag - at the back up a little tier and at the front where there is a little knob at the centre of the green.

It is a tricky par-three where the ball can easily get thrown off the green.

Ideally you want to be using a six- to four-iron.
