Hole 2 at Oakland Hills
519 yards, par five

Ken Brown
By Ken Brown
BBC TV golf commentator

The easiest hole on the front nine and possibly the easiest hole on the course.

The green can be reached in two with a couple of good blows. The tee shot will pitch on to the up-slope so there is not much run.

It should be quite easy to avoid the three bunkers on the left and two on the right.

The green is guarded at the front, and if you are trying to reach the surface in two then be warned of the narrow entrance.

It will be difficult to reach in a couple of shots even with a short pitch, but birdies are definitely on offer here.
