When you get to my door...
Well put it this way, I'm in Copenhagen. And right now I can hear the Danish rush hour slowly cranking its way through the gears. There may well be a breakfast cheesecake waiting for me but I am resisting its charms (although that makes it the first cheesecake I've said no to this weekend).
You belong to me
So a swift walk through the dawdlers of London last night brought us to the Radio Two Gala Show of The Comedy About A Bank Robbery. This was at the Criterion Theatre and for Children In Need and was a delight. It was a rare night at the theatre for all Mayos and I can pass on a big thumbs up
(from Latin, above, over, beyond)
With a hey and a ho, a skip and a step, a bow and a curtsy, here we are on a promisingly mild autumnal Thursday with everything to play for. New exercises have been done ALREADY, the house is asleep because they are TARDY so I am already AHEAD.

Well hey and howdidoodee. A pert and gorgeous Wednesday is here and let’s make the most of it. What do you have planned? I’m in ‘half term but working’ mode where the schools are off, children are at home but THERE IS WORK TO BE DONE JUST LIKE ANY OTHER WEEK.

Move in silence
So that was that. And terrific fun it was too. All these things are team affairs; you do the prep, you do the production, you do the engineering but the rest is down to the person you interview. If they want to give, great. If they don’t then you have to break sweat to get somewhere decent. Well...
Meet the new boss
Hey to you too. Thursday already and we are looking at Brucie Bonus all day. Yes that’s right there is no food on the show today. You don’t just cancel food for no reason. But we have that reason I think...
You sit around getting older
So that was a lovely thing. All dressed up for the Variety Club Hall Of Fame Dinner which saw all of Radio 2 get honoured, I only missed a couple of courses.
Laughing like children
What ho. Wet and cool go well with Tuesdays. BUT when you have to be all dressed up, that’s a drag. Super smart for The Royal Variety dinner (apparently jeans and a Ramones T-shirt doesn’t cut it), and there is at the small matter of a Ben Affleck interview.
