But you can't see me
Up with the lark! And not just the lark but also the house sparrow, the starling, the blue tit, blackbird, wood pigeon, goldfinch, chaffinch, great tit, robin and the (recently returned) long-tailed tit. These are the birds that star in the top 10 of garden birds reported to the RSPB.
Cuddle up baby
A sunny Wednesday/feels like Tuesday, and avocado on toast has been taken. With lime juice and a sprinkle of pepper and chilli flakes. I believe this is a good breakfast full of the right kind of fats. If you work with Nige and interview all these chefs, it has to come out somewhere!
FIAT LUX
Ooh look we have lighter evenings. We also have a few days (at least) of saying ‘but it’s really, 10 o’clock’ ‘no it’s 12’ and 'actually I’m jet lagged’. But this is all a good thing and we here on DT will enjoy the journey home, arriving back full of the joys of spring. .

Well I’m working. Yesterday felt like everyone was going home early and that only losers were left behind. And given that today looks quite a sparkler, maybe they were right. But who wants to fiddle around with the pesky DIY and cleaning when THERE ARE SHOWS TO BE DONE.

It seems too soon for Easter really. I know it is the original movable feast but even so…(and I haven’t got anywhere near the right egg just yet). But what’s this here? Looks like a cool, cloudy and wet Maundy Thursday about theses parts so high time to get the hot cross buns in.

I got some easy-listening going on, some coffee and some toast (sourdough, thanks Paul Hollywood).

Good morning groovers. Sunny and cold here with a hint of silver birch- induced sniffling. It's usually the first indication that the hay fever season is on the way and means a few weeks/months of antihistamine to ease the path to spring.

A lovely and top Monday morning on the way, followed by an even lovelier and topperer afternoon. That’s what’s happening today (starting bold here). Hope your weekend was a good one; I managed some copyediting, some curry and some football. The last two were good, no idea about the first.

Grey skies, cold temps. But hoping for a top-notch Friday with added sparkle where needed.
Sha la la lala lalala
I feel I have missed out. Lots of talk about the fiery green light that streaked across the sky last night. Sounds pretty awesome. Staffordshire sky watchers had all the fun. It may well turn out to be a celestial St Patrick’s day stunt or something similar (look out for wise men from the East).
