Settling down down down
Well here we go then, one more show before compulsory family time strikes again.
Aroma rising from the ancient coals
Coffee rather fine today. I’ve eased back into the world of the cafetierè and away from the espresso machine; finer flavour, less caffeine. That's what I think anyway. If you only drink a couple of coffees a day, you need to make sure they’re good cups.
My dear old thing
Murky, damp, autumnal. Still holidays but feeling back-to-school around these parts. My computer screen is shining brightly into the darkness, providing that oh-so flattering early morning reflection. Wow. Where’s the TV make up department when you need it?
Save me from this squeeze
And good morning to you too. Still some screeching from the swifts but their numbers are depleted now. Sad face emoji. I haven’t even had a holiday yet and they’re up and away. Smoking man emoji. But today is a Tunesday and there is some sun and warmth around. Smiling, sunglasses-wearing emoji.
Seen it in the movies
Well hey. Schools are off, jams at the ports but here we are, keeping your Drive Time show on the road (for another week at least). We wasted a lot of traffic jam time trying to get to a family BBQ and joined the ranks of the silently fuming. There is that silent calculation running somewhere ...

Right then, Friday chores completed and on with everything. And theres not as much ‘everything’ as yesterday but plenty none the same.

The answer is still no. Wearing shorts at work chaps might work if you’re a hipster, sipping your soya latte frappacino through the hairs of your Hoxton beard, but for everyone else, I think not. You are not on the beach, you are not sixteen (unless you are, in which case, carry on).
Easy on the snozzcumber
Warm with a promise of hot. I’ll miss these swifts when they’re gone-they really are the best way to wake up. Really they screech but it’s a beautiful, summer screeching (and yes there’s a Taylor Swift joke there but it would be unfair and wrong. And Tom Hiddleston would be very cross).

Well happy Friday to you too. Here we go with another couple of shows for you. Your movie show is lining up with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, that’s Captain Kirk and Spock from Star Trek Beyond. Yes, Kirk and Spock. If you grew up with the TV show, I think you’ll like this.
