Norman Ackroyd
Norman Ackroyd"Radio 4 is the jewel
in the BBC crown."

"I have been a compulsive listener for over 40 years and it is as good or better than it has ever been. The programming in Radio Times is good and essential as planning one's day is crucial and, of course, much time is necessary in silence. I have Radio 4 on in all my three studios as I move around in order not to miss anything. It is a cultural tragedy that newspapers, including the broadsheets, give such derisory information coverage to radio whilst giving enormous column inches to tatty game shows and sitcoms on television."
