"'Mighty Orchestra' comes from the collection of works I composed for a 2006 musical calendar. As a musician and an artist, one of my ambitions is for people to hear sound through the impression that my painting creates. I believe sound can be painted. Notes and rhythm come together in music to create a harmonious experience which powerfully manipulates a listener's emotions; likewise colour, shape and light, correctly composed, create an emotional experience for the eye. To achieve this I listen to a wide range of music; my inspiration is always the radio: A musical library!"
