Anita Klein studied at the Slade School of Fine Art where she graduated with a BA in Fine Art and a Higher Diploma in Printmaking. She has had more than 40 one-woman shows in the UK, the USA and Australia.
Her work is included in such public collections as the Arts Council of Great Britain, University College London, and the University of Wales.
She was elected an Associate of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 1991 and a Full Member in 1995. She currently serves as President of the Society.
Recently elected as President of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, Anita Klein is both a great humourist and humanist who approaches her work with a grand simplicity, which is not to say that her images lack subtlety or ambiguity. Most of her work is directly autobiographical, often incorporating recurring themes such as angels, wine, etc.
