February 2009Hello from Peru ¡¡¡¡¡¡ Follow your heart¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Hi guys this is my first experience blogging in this amazing page. Well my name is Lily I´m 26 years old ,I have been married for 2 years and eleven months, soon we will be 3 years I will noticed about that. I´m from Peru an enriched country to show you.
In this opportunity I will love to share my own experience with this beautiful language “English”. Let me tell you that I´ve studied accounting for 5 years .When I was finishing my high school I was wondering myself what am I going to do in my life? I liked English a lot but there was a pressure to choose an specific career.(I think when we are young we start to make our own decisions, what a tough point¡¡¡¡) So a cousin of mine told me about accounting I thought was interesting but I wasn´t sure enough. Finally I entered to the university with this option accounting
Besides that I always being in contact with English, I finished studying Intermediate level but I couldn´t continue with it because I couldn´t afford it cause I had the university payment. Well the point is during my years at the university I met my dear friends : Hugo, Jacky Chang( I always call her like that), Renato, George, Katty. Those people were with me all the time . There are so many things to remember when you are at the university the teachers, the time that you spend studying with your friends, the memories of our relationship.
Well there was the time when I started to work at the Travel agency in account´s area it was nice but too much work that I´ve thought .Suddenly months later I tried to work not only in accounting ,I worked as a counter .I took a course where there was a software for travelling very interesting topic. So Life brought me again my “English partner” thanks God that my country has many sightseeing to visit and I prepared travel´s packages.
I usually talked with foreign people which I really love , cause I could speak and knew amazing people and countries through them (even, I didn´t travel abroad)that’s the magic of English.
After that I realized that I feel useful through this language. Then I quite my job and again I worked at English Institute in the same area I´m thankful God that through accounting I had job but it wasn´t enough for me.
I took a course EFL ( English as a Foreign Language) because inside of me there was a strong feeling for being English Teacher. I finished it and I was wondering again am I really happy working as an accountant? The answer was NO, so I decided to quite and looking for I really love Teaching English .
I was looking for a job and I entered at an English Institute for being an English Teacher at least my dream comes true¡¡¡¡
I like to study more and learning more so the next step I´m going t take an International Exam FCE this year wish me luck
One day before starting working on what I really love I was in my mom´s house and she had a notebook with some phrases and I read :
God won´t ask you how many things have you done, but how much love have you put in everything that you have done
This phrase changes my mind and gave me forces to follow my heart
Best regards guys

Well February in Peru is amazing ,specially for me because it´s a full month let me explain you.
First in this month in Peru is Summer so right now is very hot you can enjoy visiting the beautiful beaches in all the Cost from Tumbes to Tacna (Peru towns ), now if you are interested on surfing here we have good waves and good environment of this sport because Peru has good surfers our Championship Sofia Mulanovich.
Well besides that, in February we celebrate San Valentines´s Day so here you can have meetings with your boyfriend/girlfriend and if you are alone yu have meetings with your friends is really nice the way we spend this special ocasion. On the other hand , the streets are full of people eating at restaurants, cinemas, and any place that you can imagine so if you like to be inside of the crowd thats ok but this day I prefer to spend the time with my husband at home or walking by the Boulevard next to the sea ( That is a good point in Lima , cause is always near to the sea).
And finally my 3 aniversary of been married is tomorrow February 4th oh I will send my pics.
OK OK now the big surprise you can come to Peru in February because we celebrate Carnivals with typical dances, food in Cajamarca which is located in the North of Peru is very interesting to be there for this time. You know Peruvian people are very friendly and funny, but the food is the best.If you go to Cajamarca the typical food is Guinea pig I ate that when I was a child I can ´t remember the taste but according to the best cheffs here is a delicious dish. Well I send some pics of Cajamarca and its sightseeings. The most famous places are: Baño del Inca, cuarto de rescate(this a place for our Inca´s history), cathedrals, the country, and so on.
Next I will continue write about the different places you can visit in my country at any time of the year.

I will tell you that our story is special because when we met each other was because he was my cousin´s friend. Two years ago I knew about him thanks to my Aunt because she told me his life and litle by little I started to admire him, but even I didn´t know him face to face. Until once upon...... ja ja well my cousin went to pick me up to my university and he was there the famous man that my aunt told me ,he was in front of me, at the beggining I thought ok he is a goodlooking man but I was thinking in other things.
Months later I saw him at my university and I said Oh my God I know him since then I always looked at him in any place of my university ( what a crazy girl no?) After that we met each other and God allowed to be fell in love.
Now that I´m married is a good stage of my personal life but everything is not so easy because we have to understand each other , we have to be very patience and very creative to prepare some surprises.
The principal point is that you have to believe in love even if you think is not so good with you but hey there isn´t anything easy right? .Before I met my husband I had good relationships and I know that sometimes in your life think : Why love is so hard? And finally I have the answer Love is hard because it has something prepared for you.
Let me tell you a phrase of Teresa de Calcuta is something like this: “It´s not enough loving” and there is another phrase in one Latin song: “Without pain you are not going to be happy” So the conclusion for me is to continue beliving in love any kind of love: look at your side the love between parents, family, nature. We are a result of love thanks God for this amazing feeeling
I wish you could find love any time in your life and share it with the world ¡¡¡¡¡¡

posted on Thursday, 05 February 2009 | comment on this postVISIT PERU : I CALLED THE SOUTH´S TRIANGLEIf you come to Peru in July in our Independence day you can travel to the south part and make a tour in three places :
PUNO-CUZCO-AREQUIPA
Well in this moment I will tell you the first(travelling from Lima to the south part) Arequipa:
Arequipa has good culture.First you have to visit the principals sightseeings like as:
Colca Canyon, you should visit all the churches around the square, Santa Catalina Convent, where the nuns were prohibited to go out the Convent and now the Convent is opened to the tourists. Yanahuara´s balcony, Cotahuasi Canyon the deepest of the world(3525 meters ).
Also take pics with Misti Volcano you see it from all over the places in Arequipa
The food is delicious I recommend you to eat : Shrimps soup, Rocoto relleno( is a dish that the principal ingredient is : Hot pepper stuffed, inside of it there is meat , with a potatoe cake which has cheese on it is extremely delicious.
One particular thing in Arequipa is that everyday has one special dish and this is very common when you arrive there all the restaurants and people eat one special dish per day : example On Monday people eat a soup called Chake its ingredients are potatoes, pork meat, chicken meat, beans. It´s a powerful soup
Well I recommend you to visit Colca Canyon when you arrive to Arequipa near the square there are travel agencys that offer you trips to get there 2 days one night is ok to vist there.

Before you arrive to Colca , during the trip you will see nice landscapes and you will visit some little towns that are on the way.

You will spend the night in Chivay town which is really nice and comfortable because they have everything (internet, phones to communicate , etc) ,you will drink “Mate de Coca” in case you suffer Soroche(Sometimes people are not get used to the high levels of climates)
You need to be very positive because the principal attractive in Colca it´s not only the spectacular Canyon, it´s the Condor Flight, you need to be lucky because the buses get there early in the morning approximately you have to wake up at 5.00 in the morning and you arrive to Colca at 7.00 and wait to see this amazing bird.

When I went with my husband we saw 3 you don´t have any idea how amazing is that scenary, because its flight is just incredible I was afraid at the beginning but at the same time I admired this bird from our highlands.
So If you see this, You won´t forget it. There are many people waiting for this,
cross your fingers to see them because sometimes they don´t appear.
We were lucky ¡¡¡ So you can go to Colca and pratice Mountain Cyclism, and in the afternoon you can go to the Aguas termales, which is a place where there are many pools with hot water that contains minerals for your body, it´s really good.
And if you wanna drink some beverages there is a restaurant next to the pool, so you can drink whisky, pisco, beer while you are in the hot pool.
OH Arequipa is beautiful, the food, people, places everything so it´s a good beginning for your next trip to the Peru´s South.
Next I will show you Puno (Cuzco will be at the end to explain Machupicchu)
posted on Friday, 06 February 2009 | comment on this postEVERY FIRST SATURDAY IN FEBRUARY OUR SEVENTH FESTIVITY PERUVIAN PISCO SOUR´S DAYHi Guys I´m glad you like Arequipa so take notes the next places I will recommend you.
In this opportunity I tell you about our celebration of Pisco Sour´s Day.It´s our typical beverage (alcohol), it is based of grapes and we have many flavours and smellings. Oh It´s so delicious to taste. So this last Saturday in Peru we celebrated that special day is amazing how people went out with friends to drink and enjoy this traditional Peru´s beverage.
Well it was amazing the principal place in Peru where the Pisco is produced is Ica is 4 hours away from Lima.According to the news they said that all the producers were giving free Pisco to the citizens¡¡¡¡¡¡ Oh I wanted to be there jejejej
By the way, I went out and my husband and I celebrate that jejej and it was nice.
Are you ready? I ´ll give you the recipe to prepare a delicious and spectacular Pisco Sour .On the other hand in your countries you can find Peruvians Pisco like this famous brands:Ocucaje, Queirolo,Demonio de los Andes,
It´s is better to choose Pisco( with Uva quebranta )it is used for this preparation.
When you arrive to Peru for the first time don´t forget to ask for this beverage¡¡¡¡¡
Here we go: Peruvian Pisco Sour´s( Our National Beverage)
Ingredients:
3 ounces of Pisco
1 vase with ice
1 white (egg)
1 once of lemon juice
You put everything in a shaker like this: First the ice , then Pisco, the white, and lemon .You mix all the ingredients for little minutes ) it is better to have a shaker and no a blender because with the blender you won´t feel the alcohol and the delicious flavour)
After that you pour over glasses(if you look on internet we have an International glass of Pisco because you know every famous beverages in the world has their typical glasses to keep the taste and the great quality of the beverage)
Then once you have your drink, add "amargo de angostura" I don´t know how to say in English but it´s a liquid ( color is brown) to decorate some beverages.
And Guala¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ Enjoy it , please if you prepare it tell me your experiences
 Kisses

posted on Tuesday, 10 February 2009 | comment on this postUNDER STRESS ? NATURE THE BEST RECIPE
Have you ever wonder why you feel under stress or with much pressure? the answer : Life cause it is related to our daily routines (Even if we have vacations).
Nowadays human beings only live for the day without asking what different things we should do to be connected with the nature.I´ve learned that is good to see the sky everymorning and I always compare the sky with the sea, both are equal for me.Their color is similar and their immensity. It´s a very peaceful way to relax yourself.
Hey why don´t we feel the wind? why don´t we look at the nature? animals, flowers? .
I ´ve thought we have to be very careful with nature because all this gifts that God gave us are totally FREE¡¡¡¡¡ we have to take the advantages of that.Feel connected with nature it gives you energy and brings you more life
When you arrive at the big mountain don´t you feel a big Spirit? Don´t you feel God is there? The same if you are on a trip on a river , is not the nature amazing and a good friend?
Oh I think we should try to be connected more with nature and that piece of time it´s gonna be the best recipe for our daily routine.
Life is a blessing lets return to our ancestors (as in Peru Incas) they respected the nature and the “pacha mama” (the earth) to brings us life because thanks to it we can have food, we can take trips to look at the beautiful sightseeings around the world What else can we ask for?
ENJOY AND BE PART OF THIS TEAM

Lily posted on Thursday, 19 February 2009 | comment on this posthello again : FRUSTATIONS???? JA JAHi guys, thanks for your cheers ¡¡¡¡ I feel much better, well I was thinking the next topic what can I share with you and I realize that if there is something in my life that is called as a "frustation" is that I always wanted to sing in a theatre in my city jejej it maybe sounds funny but I always wish that.
Well once I went to a "karaoke" with my friends ( if you arrive here in Lima in San Borja which is a district you will find many karaokes), so the experience was unbelievable there you see few people who are talking or drinking or only having a conversation and on the other hand you will see people (like me) who want to sing any song to feel free and happy obviously at the same time feel enjoying the moment.
So but that`s the only experience that I have (karaokes), but when I was young about 17 my sister and I met some friends who had a group where they played good music so they invited to us to participate in the chorus.
Imagine¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ I felt embarrased cause I`m afraid of singing in front of people but then they were my friends and every saturday we went to practice some new music.
But the anecdote was that one day my friend told me to practice a list of songs and I thought ok just for fun and one day told me: "We are going to sing at the school " OH MY GODDDDDDDDD I felt nervous and I said ok so? he said that I had to be prepared jajajajaj.
Do you know what I did? mmmmm I quite because I love to sing but not in front of the crowd well so that`s why I always think that I wish I could sing without fearings¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ and feel like a start jejejej
SOmeday I will return to karaokes to do that you know that a theraphy for me,when I feel blue it`s to sing and suddenly my problems went out
Pd: I dedicate a song if you listen these days :"Stand by your side"(Celine Dion ) amazing¡¡¡¡¡
See you, by the way tell me your "frustations"
