Hi everybody!

I'm Xuan and I'm from Vietnam.I'm the next student blogger after Cristina.Today is May 1st,everyone has one day off but Vietnamese people have 2 days off.
Yesterday,April 30th,was the Victory Day of our country.On this day,we don't have to work or to go to school.
Every year,on April 30th,we have a ceremony for the Victory Day.After 30 years of the long and difficult resistance war in the fighting against French and American army,we have completely victory for freedom,independence,for liberation the Southern part of Vietnam and for the reuinification of our Motherland on April 30th,1975.
Nowadays,Vietnam is the peaceful and friendly country.We want to make friend and we are always welcome to everyone in all country on over the world.Our country is not rich,it's developing and I hope and I believe that someday Vietnam will become a powerful country like England,America...
This is my first entry on BBC's blog.My English is not well and I hope everyone will help me to develope my English.

Summer and flowers!

sorry for my late post.I was busy on 3days.^_^
one more week pass and i will have the 2nd final exam on May,22nd.Good luck for me :-)
At first,thank you so much for all the comments and thanks for an interesting question from Ernesto - do you prefer a rainy day or a hot one? I prefer a rainy day, but i like it rains at night.After the rain,the air is pure,the road is clean in the next morning and you will feel very comfortable.I fear the hot day,because Vietnam is a tropical country and in summer,it's so hot.The temperature is always about 38 degrees.I often stay at home,I rarely go out in the hot day.What about you,all my friends???
Secondly,thanks Anne for a weather vocabulary quiz for me,but sadly,i only answer 3 questions ^_^

--> I think it's boot which you use when it rains.

I like flowers and i like your "Flowers" post,too.They are very nice! The same as Thailan,there are many kind of flowers in Vietnam,specially in Summer.I have some pictures about Summer flowers in our country for all of you

Hi Anne and everyone,
I had a lovely weekend with my cousin.We went to the countryside to visit our grandparents and we took many photos .
In my opinion,my countryside is very nice.It's a quiet and peaceful place.Whenever I feel stressed,I often come back it.There is a little car,motorbike in my hometown so the air is very pure,it's very good for your health :-)
As you know,Vietnam is also an agricultural country so there are many rice fields,my countryside is,too.The rice fields are very large,they are all green and I like it very much.You can see it:

I know that in the West,there is more wheatfields than ricefields is.They all yellow,is it right? and I'm sure that everyone will like the green of ricefields when you see it.
My grandparents have been living here for 80 years.It's really a long time,now,both of them are 80years old.Although thay are old but they are very well.They were farmers and now they retire.They often walk together along the road beside the ricefields to see it and to breath the pure air.
I'm a student and I don't live with them.I live in Hanoi with my parents and sometimes we visit them for 1 or 2days at the weekend.whenever I visit them,I often cook some dishes for them.It's only simple dishes but they said they like it and they feel very happy.It make me happy,too :-).
I love my grandparents,I love my countryside ^_^ xxx

Hi Anne and everyone,
Yesterday,my high school held a school-year ending ceremony for the grade 12 and I went to my hometown to take part in it.I left it in 2006.
2years to go,now I'm a student but I don't forget all memories about my class,my school.
There were 25 pupils in my class,17boys and 8 girls ^_^.We were solidary and friendly.My teacher was a enthusiastic person.She always helped us and encouraged us to study well.Moreover,she was a funny teacher. We all love her :-)
Here is my class,the Twelve Informatic (2003-2006)

I will give some information about education in Vietnam.There are 4 levels of studying: Elementary School,Secondary School,High School and University
At Elementary School,you wil study in 5years,from grade 1 to grade 5.
At Secondary School,you wil study in 4years,from grade 6 to grade 9.
At High School,you wil study in 3years,from grade 10 to grade 12
and at university,you will learn in 4 or 5 years,it depends on each one.

about quantifiers,thanks for giving me a quick quiz.I learnt it at high school but I don't remember it clearly.I remember that :
-- FEW and A FEW use with Countable Nouns. FEW uses with Negative meaning and A FEW with Positive one.
-- LITTLE and A LITTLE use with Uncountable Nouns. LITTLE uses with Negative meaning and A LITTLE with Positive one.
-- MANY uses with Countable Nouns,MUCH uses with Uncountable Nouns
-- LOTS OF and A LOT OF uses with both of them
Are they right???

1. There are A FEW cars or motorbikes in my home town.
