8 Sandrine Testud

DOB:03.04.1972
Nationality:French
World Ranking:10
Previous Wimbledon results:
2001 ::fourth round
2000 ::first round
1999 ::third round
1998 ::fourth round

Experienced Fed Cup player who will have to shake off some niggling injuries to be at her best.

Testud was out of action for six weeks from March after suffering a stress fracture in her right foot, and twisted her ankle badly during a comeback tournament.

Her most memorable Wimbledon came in 1997 when she saved a match point en route to beating second seed Monica Seles in the third round.

However, she has never been beyond the fourth round here and lacks the weapons and consistency to be considered a live challenger.
