Right-arm fast-medium bowler
Right-handed batsman

The only uncapped member of the touring party may not be quite ready to be tagged the next Glenn McGrath but the Australian selectors clearly see him as the heir to the throne.

And they expect this tour to fast-track Noffke's development, although he is unlikely to feature strongly unless injury hits the Test XI.

The comparisons with McGrath come from Noffke's ability to bowl a consistently nagging line at pace, thanks to an uncomplicated action.

An Ashes tourist in 2001, Noffke has so far starred at state level, for Australia A and also in a spell in county cricket.

He took 45 wickets in eight games with Middlesex last year.

In contrast to the world's most famous number 11, though, Noffke is an able lower-order batsman who averaged over 23 in first-class cricket going into this tour.
