Eight years on, the man rated the second-best bowler in Test cricket returns to the islands where he made his name.

McGrath was fast-tracked into the Test team in 1993 after just seven first-class matches.

But it was not until the 1994/95 tour of the Caribbean that he came to the fore with 17 wickets as Australia secured an historic series victory.

That set him on course to become Australia's leading pace bowler in terms of wickets taken, with 422 at the end of the Ashes series.

The New South Wales bowler may have lost something in speed at the age of 33 but he has lost nothing in guile, teasing the off-stump with an unwavering line.

The current season, going into this series, has already yielded 33 wickets in seven matches.

And time out to recover from side and back problems has left him refreshed for the end of the season.
