Simon did indeed mention my "Sunday name" as this was a Twitter entry....I tell everyone my paternal grandfather is JFK and I found out over christmas when looking at the Social Services records on my dad ( as I dont know any of my dad's relatives because him and his younger brother were fostered at the ages of 2 and 18 months respectively as my paternal grandmother was Catholic and Irish and came to Berkshire and hooked up with an American Soldier.) that my paternal grandfather is American!! It was sad reading my Dad's records, my sister and brother are trying to trace our Uncle Melvyn and my grandmother and my Dad is au fait with this now as initially his opinion was "She gave us up so why should we trace her" Upon reading, I found out my grandmother had a son, then my dad, then Melvyn, then a son died ( who she went to prison for Infanticide which was because cot death was unheard of in the 40's) then while she was in prison she gave birth to another son who was taken into care straight from birth and adopted. So sad the reading but very interesting.

Hurrah! The church charity has been and collected our two surplus double beds and mattresses. We now have room in the garage!



This afternoons joy? Cleaning out the airing cupboard. The village hall is having a collection day for old bed linen, towels etc. They get money for every kilo collected which will go to the roof fund (the money, not the bed linen). Having kept old sheets etc for "just in case", we have a lot to donate. Then again, I could whip up a couple of new frocks...............

At last. Time to do a bit of blogging. My working week has been reduced to four days. Not good for the bank account, but at least I get the chance to request an ARFO.

#91 Nope. It's one of my favourite songs! If you haven't heard Hayseed Dixie, check 'em out. Bluegrass versions of rock songs, primarily AC/DC (hence their name). Quite brilliant. The lion poo reminded me of the track so I had a listen this morning.

I've never heard of Krispy Kremes and not being a sweet tooth would probably not like them anyway.
