I have just noticed that if you scroll up and " follow Simon on Twitter", there is a way of raising some money for "sports relief" by simply clicking on a link on one of his tweets. I'm sure we could help him out here guys.I have this very morning shoved some dosh Mr. Izzard's way, as he was a star,( barking mad, but a star nonetheless.)

#19 Your words are heeded Miss P. However, I don't think Simon will or should feel he needs to shout at us for bombarding him with this request. Even if he did, its his show and we will still love and respect him. The whole point why I came up with this song in the first place was to find a neutral piece of music, (with no ulterior motive such as getting a certain band in to the charts), we could all get behind. Thereby showing how much we love the man and the show on its 50th birthday.



Infact, even if he plays it and then neglects to give the board a mention, the fact it was played would shows us that he knows what we know.

Here's a thought. Why don't we have a blog party to celebrate Simon's 50th show? Who's going to be around tonight? I'll be watching Sport Relief - mainly because a certain diminutive host of a popular TV motoring programme is co-presenting - but I'll be dipping in and out, with my lappy nearby. We could open a few bottles, pass round some nibbles, play some good music..... what do you all think?

Sounds like a good idea, however I'm off out tonight. Consider me there, but just being the one in the kitchen with issues !!

Hey - I hope nobody here on the blog does 'hate' just because you don't like the 'homework sucks' bit of the show! I'm not too keen mesself as it happens, mainly because I don't like the phrase, and also because I'm more interested in the music played.

I have noticed however that lately the subject matter of aforementioned slot has widened to include party games for 35 pre-teens and planning a 7 day desert trek, which gave rise to some interesting follow-up dialogue. Work in progress perhaps?



My confession - I'm not very interested in 'Confessions'!
