York City Knights have won a fourth consecutive match in National League Two for the first time this season. The Knights beat promotion hopefuls Oldham 40-24 with one of their best performances of the year. Assistant coach James Ratcliffe told BBC Radio York: "No disrespect to the last three weeks but this was a massive challenge and we've grown to it. "Why should we fear anybody? We've just beaten a team that's got aspirations to go in to the first division." Ratcliffe said the Knights preparations for the game had also gone well. | Four on the bounce is fantastic. "We spoke about our confidence during the week. We'd trained really well going in to this game and we showed a bit of confidence kicking the first set straight to them so we could defend it. "Going in to the second half we spoke about just keeping hold of our emotions - me included. We've all been a bit higher this week but we've all been waiting for this fixture to see where we've come. "The players are buying in to what we're trying to do. The public has been patient and we need some more down here now. "We play a good entertaining brand of rugby league. We like to throw the ball about once we set our platform and they enjoy it. That's what we're all here to do. We enjoy playing rugby." Ratcliffe said the Knights now have to consolidate the performance in their next match at bottom club Hunslet Hawks. "Four on the bounce is fantastic. We go to Hunslet next week full of confidence. "But we can't come undone by going to Hunslet next week and thinking its a fixture we should win just by turning up. "We need to go fully focused, make sure we give a full professional 80 minutes and keep rolling on towards the play offs."
