York City Knights full-back Danny Ratcliffe has become the latest player to commit to the National League Two club for another season. The 21-year-old has agreed terms to stay with the Knights for 2009. Knights coach Paul March said: "Danny has been a consistent performer this season and has proven himself as a first-grade player. "There was interest from other clubs but Danny is happy at the Knights and sees his future in York." Ratcliffe told BBC Radio York he is enjoying being at the Knights. "It's going really well. It was a bit hard at the beginning of the season moving about from full-back to stand-off. I also picked up a couple of injuries but its been going really well." Ratcliffe is the third player in the last week to agree a new deal. Danny Ekis and Adam Sullivan have also committed to the club and more are expected to follow soon.
