| Thursday, 28 March, 2002, 13:21 GMT Stalybridge snap up duo Burnley striker Anthony Shandran has become David Miller's first signing as Stalybridge boss. Miller, who made a winning start since replacing Paul Futcher against Forest Green on Tuesday night, has signed the 20-year-old on a month's loan. And Miller has also recruited Rochdale youngster David Walsh until the end of the season to increase his striking options. Shandran, who has made one league appearance for the Clarets as a substitute, recently returned from a loan spell with Irish club St Patrick's. The striker has been a prolific goalscorer at reserve and youth-team level during his time at Turf Moor. Walsh is a third-year scholar at Spotland and will add to the competition for places at Celtic, who had scored just twice in seven games prior to Miller's arrival. |
