Whalley on way to Crewe
Bradford midfielder Gareth Whalley has returned to former club Crewe Alexandra to help their fight against the drop.

Whalley moves back to Gresty Road on loan until the end of the season following injuries to Dave Brammer and Geoff Thomas.

The 28-year-old made over 200 appearances for the Railwaymen, helping them into Division One in 1997, before moving to Bradford for 600,000 in the summer of 1998.

He has made 99 League starts for the Bantams, but was an unused substitute against Crewe last weekend.

Bradford have also released Andy Tod, who has gone back to Scotland with Hearts and Gunnar Halle has joined Wolves.

Halle was offered a new one-year deal by Bradford but has rejected terms, although the club are hopeful a deal can be brokered in the summer.
