Profile: Alex Clinton
Alex's film investigates facial hair fashions.
Why did you pick this subject for Fresh?
I picked this subject because beards and facial hair are now a fashion and this is a fashion sensation that gripped young people recently.
It seemed that no one had stepped into this field before
What motivated you to make this film?
I wanted to make this film because I felt that it was something that I could make into an interesting topic and it seemed that no one had stepped into this field before.
What equipment did you use to shoot the film?
For the shoot I used a Sony high definition camera, a shotgun microphone, a tripod and a boom microphone and lapel microphones for the interviews and voxpops.
Tell us about post-production.
The whole editing process was fairly easy because of the fluidity of the filming. Using Adobe Premiere Pro was a piece of software I was able to use easily over the editing process.
Who/what inspires you?
I am inspired by the whole idea that with ambition comes success and having belief in what I do is key to my ambition.
What are your plans for the future?
In the future I see myself in an ideal world becoming a director and working at a media giant such as the BBC because that’s my dream.
What is the most important thing you have learned so far?
I have learned not to get too far ahead of myself because that leads to mistakes and these can prove costly while filming.
