Ma worked with director Matt Maude on a film for the Writing Britain series.

Why did you pick this subject for Fresh?

Through this film I hope to plant a seed in someone else and inspire them to do bigger and better

I wanted to inspire the inner being in people. The potential for greatness is within us. If we live how we dream and dream how we want to live, everyone and anyone could achieve the standard of life we ought to live.

What motivated you to make this film?

Everything is possible in our dreams. The idea of being able to live your dream brought with it a different form of motivation which everyone can relate to. The power of imagination does not exclude anyone, everyone can fantasise and everyone can dream. This film gave me the opportunity to tell my story in film. I never set out to be a filmmaker but applying myself, working hard and networking with likeminded people enabled me to see my dream as a filmmaker come true. Through this film I hope to plant a seed in someone else and inspire them to do bigger and better.

Who/what inspires you?

I am inspired by people who create or invent because they offer something that no one else has seen before. People who have started off with nothing, but had ideas and dreams and have ended up with something. Although I am not where I would want to be, I have dreamt of the life I’m living now and as long as I keep aiming higher and dreaming big, one day I will be in the realms of successful businessmen.

What are your plans for the future?

I have finished writing a short film which I would like to produce if can secure funding and I am currently writing a film/novel which I would like to further. I am also trying out in business with an app called “chekdout” which I hope to launch September this year.
