Everything you ever wanted to know about The Vamps at Christmas

Can you imagine spending Christmas Day with The Vamps? Chaos. It would be absolute chaos.
The band will be heading homes to their families this Christmas to dream about finding Shawn Mendes under their trees, eat nothing but chocolate and watch Love Actually.
They'll be taking some of The Vamps' trademark mischief home to their nearest and dearest so we hope their mums and dads have braced themselves.
Here's everything you need to know about what The Vamps get up to at Christmas.
What is your traditional routine on Christmas Day?
James: It’s one of the few days of the year where I eat anything I want so chocolate then presents. This year is the first time I won’t be at home for Christmas because I’ve moved out so I’ll probably go home to my parents about lunch time. I’ll probably just sit on my own and play video games before that.
Tristan: I have an 11 year old sister so we want to keep the Christmas spirit alive. She always comes and wakes me up and it’s really cute. I’m going back to Devon where my family home is and it’s so nice because everyone together. I go downstairs with my brother James and sister Milly, open presents then have breakfast. Then I’ll have a big family roast – it’s my favourite meal of the year.

Brad: I usually like having a lie-in, but my sister will wake me up - even though she's 26 years old now - about 9am. We'll get up, go downstairs, and have food - a prawn cocktail. We'll have dinner and then we'll open the presents. Then we'll sit and probably watch the Doctor Who Christmas special, which is always ace. Then, you're that full that you'll have a sleep on the sofa.
I went out with a girl who wouldn’t open her presents until about 4pm. That’s sick isn’t it?James, The Vamps
Connor: My brother gets me up. He's 13. He used to get me up about 4:30 - 5am, but he's good now. He'll get me up about 7. We'll go down and open the presents. We usually open the presents before my dad even comes downstairs because we don't want to wait and my mum's just like 'Go for it'. After that we have some Buck's Fizz and then just chill for a bit. My mum and dad cook the dinner, then my grandparents come round with all the family and then we play a board game..
James: I went out with a girl about 4 years ago who wouldn’t open her presents until about 4pm. She had this weird tradition. That’s sick isn’t it? Evil!
What job would Santa give you in his grotto?
Tristan: I’d be the dude at the back who is in charge of packing Santa’s sack.
James: I’d feed the reindeer!
Connor: I'd make the sports gear. The footballs. In your free time you could have a little kick-about with your elfish mates.

What is top of your wish list this year?
James: The new Call of Duty I think. Or I need loads of house stuff like a small sofa bed for my spare bedroom.
Connor: One of those virtual reality headsets, or - there's this new thing that's not out yet - it's a band that you wear at night and it lets you lucid dream. It knows when you're in REM sleep and then it starts putting lights in your eyes so you know you're in the dream.
Tristan: I’m more of a giver than a receiver but if people want to get me stuff then studio stuff like recording equipment. Or house stuff. You thought that was so boring when you were younger but it’s so good now.
Is there a Christmas movie you always watch?
James: Love Actually!
Brad: Elf gets watched quite a lot. Will Ferrell is awesome, he's a funny dude, and Zooey Deschanel is in it.
Tristan: I love The Grinch and Elf is great. You know what’s always on? Bruce Almighty! Those are good.
How many Advent calendar chocolates could you eat at once?
James: I’ve eaten a whole calendar at once before!
Tristan: Honestly, James has the biggest mouth there is.
James: It’s big. I don’t have them anymore. When I was trying to slim down I would leave some but now, nothing.

What pop star would you want to find under your Christmas tree?
James:Shawn Mendes! He could play us a tune on Christmas morning.
Connor: Anna Kendrick. She sings. I just like the whole package, she's really funny and she seems really down to earth. She's cool.
Brad: I'm going to class Zooey Deschanel as a singer, she was in a band. I just like her face! No, she's so intelligent and so funny. She's got a wicked personality and I’m a big fan of New Girl. She's awesome in that.
You’ve got a tenner to buy the rest of the band a gift – what do you go for?
Brad: I would get Connor's lizard a little suit made.
Connor: I'm going to buy Brad a goldfish. How long the goldfish would last, I don't know. I've had mine from the fair for eight years and it's still alive. It's discoloured now and it's huge.
Tristan: I’d get a bottle of mulled wine because it’s very Christmassy!
Any suggestions for what presents your fans could get you?
James: I need some pint glasses for my flat!
Tristan: Fans used to send me those bracelet charms. So those are great.
James: He has like 30 of them! I thanked a girl for one on twitter once and from there it just escalated.
Tristan: I’ll take only gold ones please. Ha-ha!
Brad: We really like Nerf guns. They're good, so if any fans want to send us some of them, that would be good.
Connor: You need a lot of ammunition too. You lose a lot of bullets. I wish you didn't have to pick them up after.
Merry Christmas, The Vamps!
