On the subject of name changes, after the 3 worder about the guinea-pig yesterday and its name change from 'Frank' to 'Fifi', there was much sniggering in the Hoffs household when Mr H came home and was called 'Fifi' for the rest of the evening. Typically, I got the blame.

Silly morning today. It was school photograhs day, and they allow younger siblings in so you can have them together, even if they're not at school yet, which is nice.



However arrived at 8.35 hoping for a qucik in and out, they also needed to take mine, as a new school governor for the notice board! But was still there at 9.30, so now on catch up all day.

#88 - Thank you for telling me that JBG. The saying 'you learn something new every day' certainly applies to me today! It's funny - I had thought for years that his real name was Judkins - it came up as an answer in a quiz once upon a time, along with the usual others - Michael Caine etc. It stuck in my mind (little else does) and I thought that I was onto a dead cert today on the blog as I never know the answers to questions or trivia. Turns out I was wrong again!!!

#79 Funnily enough I was listneing to Ricky Ross sitting in for Bob at lunchtime from Saturday night/Sunday morning and he played a track from Knopfler's new album. I think Knopfler's gone quite country/rootsy/folky now hasn't he? Duet album with Emmylou, producing Bap Kennedy's recent album and now this one too.



Talking of folky, I'm going to see Emily Barker & the Red Halo at the Union Chapel later in the year. People may have heard the theme tunes to Wallander (Brannagh version) and last year's The Shadow Line. They're both her.
