Been trying to think of something nice to do for my birthday, but the weather forecast for next week looks as mixed a bag as this week. We took the twins to The Deep a couple of years ago, but only twin 1 liked it, and we didn't really get a chance to appreciate all the different species of marine life, and displays on offer.

How freaky is this weather? We had rain all yesterday and sun all day today and it's still sunny, yet 14 miles way a friend has had oceans of rain and thunder and lightning since before lunch, her road is flooded and she has a power cut because lightning struck a power thingy near her, yet we've not had a drop of rain and not heard a thing!

Evening all - what a day. I've been unbelievably busy, so only just been able to contribute. Just reporting to take over custody of the bloggers' torch for the weekend as it passes into my area. Not sure how the real thing has fared today, although I do know the events for this evening in Blackpool have had to retreat indoors.

Sadly didn't hear too much of show due to being in the Vet to get the low down on Jimmy who had been in all day. Insulin up to 2 x 6 mls per day but he's doing well. The vet keeps telling me how lovely and well behaved Jimmy is when he is with them. This must be what it's like for parents on parents' night in school.



I don't believe they are actually talking about my boy! But really glad he's doing well.

Good morning everyone from a thankfully dry part of Scotland... no rain here. Harry, I do feel sorry for you the people who are in flooded areas that include friends of ours in Todmorden and Carleton... they're having a bad time with rivers bursting at the seams. When will it all end?



We're going across to Fife to watch the British Superbikes, where thankfully it was dry for them yesterday and looks like showery today and dry tomorrow, but Knockhill has its own micro-climate, so does its own thing. If the sheep are up the top of the hill it will be dry and if they're mooching around near the bottom, it will probably rain!

I've just been out to rescue Dylan (wabbit) during a monsoon downpour, couldn't find him anywhere. So, came back in drenched to the bone, think 'drowned rat' look, just about sums it up. Looking back up the garden, there he is sitting under the rhubarb leaves, merrily munching away. Yes rhubarb, the plant wabbits aren't supposed to eat, but he has a munch of it every day, I think he has got cast iron innards!
