Missed yesterday's blog as off doing pony club mum type things as we got a chance to visit 3 day event rider Mary King and her two 2012 Olympic hopefuls Archie (Imperial Cavalier) and Tess (Kings Temptress). Mary is both delightful and a true inspiration to young riders. She even gave my daughter a pair of protective leg boots she'd used at Badminton horse trials, which my daughter can use for her horse.



Would suggest a song for the ARFO if I knew what the abbreviation meant.

I've already eaten a Creme egg & Caramel egg for my breakfast, so I'm getting into the spirit of things ;) I have also been scoffing some Easter eggs that my twins were given, but in my defence, twin one only likes mini eggs (in the proper packaging, not the purple bag they come in with the egg! Autism, eh?) And twin two only likes plain chocolate... On Jaffa cakes!



It seems to be quite nice weather today (now I've probably doomed it) hopefully we'll have more of the same, over the holidays at least.

My dog poppet 2 is not a happy Easter bunny this morning as he had to endure a bath. Not a pleasurable experience for all concerned. Water everywhere, stressed little yelping, filthy bath that I have just spent the last half hour cleaning. Anyhoo, he is now clean enough for me to book him into the groomers for a hair cut (and another bath!). Little soldier.

Good afternoon everyone out there.



The weather is absolutely glorious again - a good to be alive day, as Harry would say.



For the moment I have been tasked with 'playing' with the computer to see if the fault can be sourced and sorted. At the moment am using the replacement and it is brilliant, no delays at all. It makes the old computer seem even more snail-like.

Hopefully it will convince the Mr that we need an update.



Don't want to spend too long in here though, as it looks very tempting out of the window.

I saw a lot of pink coats but none that fitted the bill for Autumn Gale. Unless of course that was you and your aunt on the bungee jumping thing in the Thistle Centre???



Hope you liked the skirl of the pipes that was laid on for you too Autumn Gale.



After a quick look for you I took myself off to the other end of town for a quick vitimin fix of 6 minutes on a sun bed. They only had standing up ones available so not wanting to wait, I agreed to that.



Just as I was enjoying the rays (not so the music), my foot accidently touched something on the floor. To my horror, I looked down to see that it was in fact the biggest insect I have ever seen. Long spindly legs and 2 great big lumpy body parts. I screamed and fell backwards out of the door in a frantic bid to scramble about for my glasses to see what horror lay before me...............................



The previous customer had left their goggles lying on the floor.

No shoes purchased but have persuaded Aunt to head home on the bus while I have a leisurely look round ie. sit and have a coffee and well deserved treat before I walk back. It sounds as though some bloggers are getting much more pleasant weather than the driech day we're having in central Scotland.

PSL - I hope all the chickens are now returned and suitably chastised!

No. Fish last night - Smoked Haddock - cooked in milk with bay leaves and sliced mushrooms - served "on a bed of spinach" with a Jacket Spud and the lovely milky sauce.



Tonight it's Homemade Asparagus Quiche (from the freezer) with green salad and Homemade Pot. Wedgees.

#72 Billie, Tarragon Chicken in our house is quite simple:



Take a lump of butter and mash up with some fresh tarragon (French is best). Lift the skin from a chicken, but don't remove, and stuff the butter/tarragon mix in the gap between the skin and the flesh. Roast as usual and your chicken will have the delicate flavour of aniseed.



Also works well with rosemary.

What started out as a coldish greyish morning has turned into a very pleasant springlike afternoon. We've been out for an early doors curry at our fave place. Ordered far too much food - again - and couldn't finish it - again! Probably won't eat again until tomorrow!

I hope you were lucky enough to get one too, although I do see that there are several on the market that are GF (gluten free) without going down the realms of paying the extortionate price that some of these 'specialist' products can attract.



For anyone that hasn't see the Hugo film that was being raved about not so long ago, it is now out on DVD. Its on the 'to do' list, as I dont think there's much else on , but wait to be corrected.

Cherub just frightened the living daylights out of hubbs. I was in the kitchen making a drink and he was standing in the doorway talking to me, when unbeknown to him she walked up behind him and said "Dad, my yawn is stuck and I can't get to sleep". He jummped a mile :-) She's gonna sleep late tomorrow.
