Colin Paterson + AN Other (presumably from TV) were apparently wedged next to each other asking Brannagh questions this morning. Ludicrous waste of money - use one and play it out on all platforms. Heard Brannagh say everyone and everything was wonderful and realised that was three minutes of lsitening time I'd never get back.

I saw a clip on there from 'A dangerous method' which he stars in with Keira Knightly...has nobody noticed (in the stylee of the Emperor's New Clothes') that she is WASTING AWAY...it is cr*p for her to say, as she does regularly, that she is eating normally - in her early film role in 'The Hole' she had to bear her top half - normal womanly breasts...come Pride and Prejudice, she is as flat as a pancake...normally, breast development is the other way around!!

As mother of a 13 year old girl, I worry that women who look like her are paraded in the press and in films and regarded as looking normal...

I tried for ages to post earlier and gave up and went out to pull out lots of fast-growing weeds in between my pretty spring flowers, then forked around in the soil to freshen it up.

Crikey, those marmalades are expensive... £6.95 a jar! When I think of all the marmalade and jam I give away every year... my husband always says it's a waste of me spending so much time preparing fruit and making jam and marmalade, only to give so much of it away! Ah well, it's usually appreciated by my neighbour and friends who can't be bothered making it for themselves!

We went out for a drive and lunch out in the Peak District, it was lovely, if rainy! We stopped at the Chatsworth House Farm shop, and went in their restaurant, and very nice it was too. I had Chatsworth beef stew and dumplings, and it was very tasty, highly recommended.

Well done to Phil too.

#91 Thanks Billie :) It was made with beef from cows reared on the Chatsworth estate, hence the fancy name! I did feel a bit guilty, because we could see the cows grazing from the restaurant window... But if you're going to be a meat-eater, you have to live with the reality of where your food comes from, and how it gets to your plate.



I think Black and White was in reference to The Artist being a black and white film... The oldies were a bit predictable today, I thought, and only four instead of the usual five. That's the way the cookie crumbles though, sometimes.

Zoe, I visited Chatsworth House years ago. Just had a look at their website - looks really nice. Glad you enjoyed the lunch, and didn't let the weather spoil your day out. We're in one of the potentially drought areas - it is rather worrying.

#94 We only went to the Chatsworth farm shop, which is quite close to the house. The house and gardens are currently closed for the Winter, and don't reopen again until next month. We will be visiting there in the spring though, it's lovely to see the gardens coming to life again after the Winter.
