Deebee, I went to Madiera for one day when I was 17. That sounds very grand but it was a school cruise. All I seem to remember from a coach trip was the guide telling us to look to our left to see orange trees then look to our right to see lemon trees. 100 metres later. Look to your right to see orange trees, look to your left.........you get the picture. The views from the top of the island were quite stunning though.



Did I mention my friends and I won the talent competition on that particular cruise for our guitar playing and singing??? *head swells*

He wants to look at some parish records to fill in the gaps, but they're only available on microfiche so he's planning a trip to the library in Shrewsbury. I'll probably go shopping... So for once, instead of listening to all the DT folks on the roads on Friday night we'll be joining them. Hoping Sally will keep the M6 clear for us - maybe if I ask nicely she'll announce that it's been closed... ;o)
