Thinking of the fellow bloggers at CiN today - wish I was there. It was such a blast last year. Loved every minute but it was exhausting and I had no voice left at the end of the day and my ears hurt!

My three word Friday... Ulcers on tonsils :[ Not feeling great at all but hoping the antbiotics will kick in soon. It was great to have my song chosen last night that's making me feel a bit better! Why is Cliff Richard featuring so much today in CiN? Earlier this morning Chris Evans played quite a few Cliff Richard songs and a few minutes ago Jeremy Vine played a medley of his songs and keeps saying it's Cliff minus 17, Cliff minus 13 etc etc so I guess he's going to be making an appearance on his programme... and he's been on TV a lot pushing his DVD so maybe it's more of the same today on Radio 2!



Maybe he'll pop in to see the bloggers a bit later on!

Most of the late 70s and the entire 80s were spent listening and dancing to music released on the Prelude, West End, Philly and Salsoul dance labels so it's almost impossible to select individual acts from that era. If I had to cite any, they would be producers Francois Kevorkian, Larry Levan, Shep Pettibone, John Luongo and Tom Moulton. They were, frankly, the best years of my life (so far).

And also, why doesn't Tim Smith do his show when he has one of his holidays? He sits in for Alex Lester when he's away, so why not for SW? Anything would be better than the present stand-in IMHO.

I've tried several times to phone a pledge to ask for it but the lines are always engaged and I'm now going to take my dogs for long walk as we're going to see The Zombies tonight so the dogs will be looking after the house... home alone, so a good walk is beckoning!



In the past I've tried to get Simon to play The Saw Doctors' Joyce Country Ceili Band song as an ARF as it's nice s lively but he obviously prefers the likes of Queen, The Who, Status Quo etc! If you get the chance check them out. It's all original stuff and me and my family love it. Have to confess they are actually friends of ours but I would choose to listen to their album "Where We Were" even if they weren't.
