What A Waste
School run is done. Children happily dispensed. I'm now waiting for a screening of a new Ewan McGregor film. I've forgotten what it is called or what it is about but that is often the best way to see a film. To be ignorant of everyone else's opinion is a luxury. I now have to make my own mind up. Now this can be a bit of a drag sometimes but at least my opinion will be fresh. I'll then have to sign a disclaimer, forbidding the mentioning of the film in any media until the film is out, by which time I'll have heard everyone else's opinion and mine won't count anymore. At least I might be able to impress myself for a while.
Enjoyed Ross Kemp yesterday. Always informed and amiable conversation. And memo to self; when the time comes, don't apologise for your book. It doesn't help the sales pitch!
Today sees the first of Matt's Mid-Summer, Middle-Aged Mosh Mayhem. Or something like that. The mosh gets an extended run after 6, with 4 big rock songs, all hosted by Dr Mosh who will have reinvented the colour purple by the end.
And songs today on the theme of JUNK, RUBBISH and TRASH. The space station astronauts had to evacuate yesterday as space junk hurtled towards them. There's another clean up Britain campaign up and running, so RUBBISH it is.
Off to the movies. Have an informed and rational Wednesday, see you after 5

I have now tamed the lawn, and washed the grass out of places I didn't know grass could get! Now to crash out on the sofa for the afternoon :)

Bit of a tight schedule once I leave work today including collecting the boys from their schools, getting to the dentist for 4.30, home to have tea and then all ready to go off in different directions at 6.00pm.
#83 - Mmmm I might struggle to retain that but thank you for sharing.

B&B - HELLO! (waves!). Good to see you my friend. You have been much missed. Hope B&B Minimus bounces up soon.
Mo - hope you and your Dad both feel better soon. In the meantime, enjoy the tennis from your sick bed.
Toots - house news. Bolthole - sale progressing. London - under offer and survey (full structural - yikes!) happening on Friday. New house - offer accepted on a property in Kent. It is lovely AND there is room for us to have chickens, ducks and a couple of rescue donkeys.
BlurtonBorn - welcome!
Have I missed anyone?

The shop where Daughter currently works at weekends and holidays (which I'm tempted to name, except I'd probably get modded) has just told her that she has to work till midnight tonight as they're putting out new stock. Which would mean either Mr B or myself picking her up - a 20 mile all round trip. Totally unreasonable, and with my HR hat on I'm not even sure it's legal. It's not part of her contracted hours, plus they have a duty of care not to leave her in the middle of Cambridge, in the middle of the night, with no means of getting home. Grrr...
Okay, rant over. Hi B&B - nice to see you back!
