By the way, I was passionately in love with David Cassidy. Had his photo in a frame by my bed and my copy of the Partridge Family "Up to Date" album is worn out. The album cover had a little synopsis of David's "Favourite things" and he named his favourite song as "The Thrill is Gone" by BB King. That's how I discovered BB King and a whole new musical world opened up to me. Thank you David Cassidy.



Julia - Beatrix Potter was the favourite portrait because she just looked like someone who would write Peter Rabbit. The portrait was obviously done in her later years and she was standing in a tweed jacket and hat, clasping an umbrella, with a rosy apple-cheeked smiley face. She looked like Mrs Tiggywinkle in tweed. Charming picture.

I was never really into David Cassidy - Donny Osmond was my teenage crush. I think I've mentioned it before. My friends and I used to write 'fanfic' about him and his brothers. There was no internet in those days, so we'd write our little stories out in notebooks and pass them round to each other. Once a teacher found one of mine, resulting in MAJOR embarrassment! It was all very innocent stuff though. I'm sure today's teens are a lot more streetwise.

Ok, so this a tenuous link AND is going to be a bit of a mission for the 'music finder' on the show, or whoever gets the playlist together, but in honour of the wonderful, sweeping music brought to us by Mr John Barry (Prendergast) OBE R.I.P how about the theme from 'First Love' for which he wrote the score.

#89 - Kev, The elderGB was concerned at the choice as they're fairly well set up in midfield and could be doing with a striker - looks like this midfielder fits the bill tho'. He was chuffed that KC chose Celtic over Rangers, too but said it sounded funny when he referred to Neil Lennon as 'The Gaffer'. I think he's usually referred to as 'The Boss'. Poor PoS :(
