Twas indeed me (and Deebee and Alex-Girl) who was there at the quiz last evening (MTF - we're not going through this mtd/mtf thing again, mistakes happen). Rips and Payre were also in attendance and a good time was had by all.



#35 - Kev we Alex, P and I managed to get the tickets through a lottery on the R2 website - we all said that we had chanced upon it and applied. Rips and Deebee had applied but not been successful so they came as plus 1's. The only problem really was that we were originally advised on 15th November that the recording was taking place on 16th November (pretty short notice) only to be told later that day that the recording was being postponed to a later date. We were finally advised last Thursday that the recording was going to be last night which gave us a bit more time to organise ourselves.



Nice to meet you again Simon and for taking the time to chat with us after the recording.



As I can't think of any other suggestions to make regarding the tunes - I will second Kirsty Macoll - Days.

Back from the dentist. Isn't it funny how all my dentists have been very chatty and friendly guys, yet the conversation is very much one sided when you are under local anaesthetic and there is all sorts of dental equipment buzzing away in your mouth. You can only grunt in reply!



Now I have got to see whether I can manage a sandwich without dribbling!!

#62 never forget the time years ago when I went for some serious dental work. Came out with a thoroughly numb face and was ready for a smoke. So I popped one in my mouth while walking along. Got my lighter out of my pocket, by which time I'd walked on a few yards through this busy street. Went to light the cigarette and it wasn't there anymore! Oh, how I felt a fool!

Agree with Simon, some careful editing willbe required! Some fruity language at times! Hope they keep in the bit where CLP shouted at Rips and told him to be quiet! Some judicious cheating went on and we all had a laugh. Managed a quick chat with Simon afterwards and a longer chat with Marky Mark (Chris' driver) before he lives just up the road from me so I was trying to blag a lift home! And that Rips - well, what to say? At least he got the drinks in before disappearing!!!



Too late for suggestions from me so will say au reboot for now.

Hmph mid-blog and we were plunged into darkness at work! :( Good news is - I got home early, bad news is, I have to go back in tomorrow (I only work a four day week ordinarily). Boo!!!

Glad all the quiz goers had such a fab time. I may not be able to listen on Christmas day but will listen later thanks to the gadget that allows you to listen at a time more convenient :)



Must go and crack on with early tea preparations for the youngerGB - he's at running club this evening. Not merely a snack for him, he has his tea before he goes running - did Simon's 'snacks before ballet' expert last night say anything about having a full meal before exercise? It makes me wonder - we're told not to eat too much directly before exercise but the youngerGB, especially during the summer months, scoffs his tea and is back out the door, before you can blink, running about with not a care in the world and definitely no signs of indigestion. What's that all about?

Awww Tortie, poor you. I used to really suffer with tonsilitis, then about 3 years ago I got proper flu - off work for 3 weeks and really very ilol, and it led to bronchitis. Since then I only seem to get chest infections and hacking coughs now. Most bizarre.



Hope you feel bettererer soon.
