Phew, what a morning. Wanted to be in work early so that I could leave dead on time but no. The shower decided to leak, the cat was sick, couldn't find the hairbrush (me, not the cat) and so it went on. Finally shot through the office door at 10am looking like a crazy lady.



SO excited about tonight! Heard CLP talking about it this morning. Tony Blackburn is a bonus - I wonder if we should mention our Tony Blackburn Hat of Utter Shame?



Paul, Mr P pondered your conundrum but was, unfortunately, stumped (my only contribution to the Ashes theme today - a bad pun). It is the type of question though that he will find himself pondering further in the days to come so do not give up hope.



Right, now that I am finally here, I had better do something constructive. Googling cricket songs, methinks!

How about KNOCK ON WOOD by Amii Stewart or maybe a rousing chorus of JERUSALEM to stir up the team? The end of the 2005 Ashes coincided with a Prom concert I organised for my then work. We had the choir from St Bride's, Fleet Street in to perform and they sang Jerusalem for us and it knocked us all for six.



Following on from the excellent and very inspiring quote from James Lee Burke - here is a quote Lance Armstrong attributes to his mother: "Pain is temporary - quitting lasts forever".

Hi Gaily - cherry flavoured yoghurt is an abomination imo. I remember when s*i used to do multi packs and there was always a cherry one why???? another raspberry would have gone down a lot better. At least these days there is a lot more choice and you can avoid cherry - even in multi packs.
