Apologoes for my abstinence today - I've been out with my girlfriends this morning for coffee - aw it did me so much good - they are so totally gorgeous. After lunch, my mate asked came over to help me tidy my garage so he can store some stuff there. I've been to the tip this afternoon - really my day can't get any better. Deebee - thank you for our counselling session on t'other side last night. I will e-mail a response to your texts as soon as I get the opportunity. All I'll say is, please don't worry, it's so not worth it. You're totally gorgeous and you shouldn't let it get to you. :)

Hey Alsion, I ran with the 'big boys' from my running club the other week - the last mile or so we ended up running along the river bank in the village which was a lot more overgrown than anyone could have anticipated - it was a case of just keep on running and don't worry about scratches / nettle stings as there was no alternative route and it would have taken too long to pick your way through safely. I enjoyed it - it was fab. Might be better to get out there with a scythe before Monday, sounds like the secateurs just couldn't hack it. (Did you see what I did there??? Did you?)

Just pooped in the butcher's on the way home, and he gave me a large bone for my GP*. Oscar's now sitting on the lawn happy as Larry - think he'll be there for some time.

I nearly did that with my dental problem. Have had a problem tooth for about a week now, talk about a 'bear with a sore head'. I decided that I couldn't go on over the weekend with it, especially as we are going up to the Lake District on Tuesday for a few days. My dentist saw me within the hour and one medicated filling later,(and possibly a few glasses of pinot grigio later have helped!) I'm not quite so grouchy! So make sure you get yours sorted, I'd much rather go to the dentist anyday than suffer in silence. I think that they are far less scary than when I used to go as a child and they gave you a filling as a matter of course.

Mcw, as a former dental phobic..



I had to put off the appt, because I had a tiny crack in the corner of my mouth, which will not heal and will be frowned upon by the dentist.



Re booked for the 10th of the next month.



I think going to the dentist about 12 times a day has helped with my phobia.

The main thing to know about this blog is that we all found it because we enjoy Simon and his show. In fact we enjoy his show so much that we kept chatting for the three weeks he was away! Like you I started with the odd song suggestion and then added a little more. But some days I just suggest a song again. If you click on my name you'll see a history of my comments, and that I have a bit more time on my hands at this time of year due to the school summer holidays. The thing is we all dip in and out of it in-between doing the other things in our lives. As Madchickster said, alot of it goes over my head, and alot of it touches my funny bone, and some of it touches my heart. So come have a play with us. It's fun.

Maybe, it is none of these things. It could be that there IS a third point, and one that is so beautifully formed, that if I were to make it here, no-one would believe that I was capable of such beauty, and in posting it, I would run the risk of being driven from this blog to the cries of 'Plagiarist plagiarist, get thee gone, and return no more'. So, no third point to be given then, for some reason. Or another.





Anyway, Billy Pepper, (Male or female, I wonder, the name being so close to Billy Piper, the one time squeeze of our neighbours leader),the actual thing is this. Pull up a chair, me owd, and make yourself comfortable. Everyone is welcome here. Let's be honest, they keep letting me back in, so that must be a sign of a very welcoming and friendly colletcive. Either that, or these people have very low standards!

Well said Alison and Madchickster. Billy, I'm sorry if we seem a bit cliquey sometimes - that's not the intention. It's just that some of us have been around since Simon started on Drivetime (or just after in my case) so we've got to know each other over the months. You'll find the more you post, the more involved you'll feel. And don't worry if you don't get a response to a post - you're not being ignored. I made that mistake once 'next door' on CLP's blog.
