I like the way that something that happens or gets mentioned in passing one day can drive what happens in a subsequent show, e.g. something comes up during one day's show and then the next day there's an expert in their field on talking about the subject in the "experts slot" at 5:15ish. Think it all works really well and I love the diversity of stuff that gets discussed then. I's a good mixture of serious and irreverent.



Sciatic nerve..hmm. While I was listening to "A Night at the Opera" and "A day at the Races" other people in my year were extolling the virtues of "Stab Your Back" by "The Damned". Which might be vaguely appropriate as far as the title is concerned but I have absolutely no idea whether playing it might be a career-threatening move :)



Otherwise I think I'm struggling on this one.

#66 Have a great time Deebee - I've been there, or rather to a German tourist resort just near there. Ironically, of the 3 years we lived in Germany, that week was the time my German came in most useful, because most people in Germany spoke English (even though I did always begin in German), but most of the tourists in the area we went were German, so the locals got wise to this and learnt German, whereas very few spoke English. Still, was good. That was NINE years ago now. Feel old.

Deebee - coincidentally my sis and bro-in-law are flying back from Antalya on Saturday [Gatwick]. Jammy so-and-so's have been there for THREE weeks



Tortie - lived in Deutschland most of my early years and spent many a happy camping holiday in the Schwartzwald. I have photos [in black and white]. I LOVE train travel. Lucky you.

Paddy's neighbour Mick had a dog which he kept in his back garden. The dog would bark all night keeping Paddy and his wife awake. Although they complained to Mick he wouldn't do anything to stop the dog from barking.



One night they had had enough.



'Go down and do something about next door's dog' said Paddy's wife to Paddy. So Paddy went downstairs.



Ten minutes later he was back and he got into bed looking pleased with himself. But the dog was still barking loudly.
