Did anyone see Chris Moyles on BBC2 last night, doing a programme about the history of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show? He interviewed all the presenters from Mike Read onwards - apart from CLP, who apparently declined to take part. Some have aged better than others....of course our man looks exactly the same as he did 20 years ago (just in case he's reading this!)

I posted about this to you Deebee on the previous blog - as soon as I saw that it was on I thought about you (knowing how much you like Simon!)I thought he was very good on it and Mike Smith too.

Apparently my tweets are being followed by the "BBC Radio 2" Twitter account. Wonder if that's the controller's account or if it's a marketing account designed to get you to follow for easy targetting? :-)

I like Twitter, but I am getting annoyed at the amount of re-tweets. If I wanted to know what so-and-so was up to, I'd follow them myself. And how do people I've never heard of get to follow me?

#50 I've just had some re-tweets, Deevs. Never heard of them before (nothing new there!)

#50 There are accounts on there used for advertising less salubrious websites e.g. you receive an email saying someone's started following you, you check their account to see who they are, they have posts that read like diary entries with links to "innocent" photos.



Click the link (obviously shortened so you dont know where it's actually going to) and suddenly you're on an adult site. They're either working for the site, or getting paid to generate click-throughs.



Two tactics - don't follow them if you don't know them. You can also block them from following you. Unless someone has generated a tool to allow a spammer to mass mention loads of accounts automatically in individual tweets I can't imagine it's a very practical way of spamming in the longer term.

Cheers Ken - I do block anyone I've never heard of before, and the young ladies with the errrr ...... "iffy" profile pics! A few weeks back I had notification that Rik Mayall was following me, but it turned out to be a marketing thing for a world cup song he's releasing - the mind boggles!

I got one and a half songs!, "I just don't know what to do with myself" by Dusty and "don't leave me this way" by Harold Melvin but not by The Communards as I suggested

I heard Dusty. What a voice. I bought a greatest hits CD of hers last Friday. TWO QUID!

90 minutes of heaven on bbc2 now. TOTP 80s special. Making yr mind up on now!! Just had Adam and the Ants on too. Could be a great show!

and it's Mark Radcliffe narrating, which should be good news for the SW non-lovers of us!

Quite amusing to see Mark Radcliffe on Grumpy, immediately after TOTP2, trashing rubbishy 80's music. He needs to make his mind up! lol
