Good Morning Each. So, the delights of Italy, how splendid. A good many suggestions spring to mind, but I thought I would proffer just two. Not too many seconders, I suspect, but here they are, for what it's worth.First choice would be "Tu Vou Fa L'Americano", and I'd plump for the version by Ray Gelato, as it is sung in both English and Italian (Neopolitan, actually). Second, "Quando, Quando, Quando" by Engelbert Humperdinck, for no other reason other than I like the fact that it is dinck, not just dink.

Talking of dink, did you see that the mighty Rams dinked a few in last night.(Are you watching, are you watching, are you watching Nottingham? Are you watching Nottingham?) Seriously, Tricky, I hope you are feeling a bit more comfortable, physically.

Darren, it was hearing Alex Lester play Louis Prima a while ago (end of last year sometime?), that prompted me to go and buy some of his stuff. Hey Tortie-cat - we have a lovely (?!) blizzard this morning. The snow from the weekend plus another foot or so, drifting, blowing around, generally making everything worse. But fortunately we still have power so staying indoors and hoping it'll go away soon! Although when it does stop swirling round it means we have to start digging out. Again.

You know how it is. You gear yourself up for an interview: mentally in the zone, questions lined up, enthusiam in top gear, you dress to impress and feel good for it, let out a little yelp of victory when you find the place first time of asking and all that jazz. Then the person is meant to be interviewing you is "in a meeting" so you get an informal chat with one of the admin staff and a typing test and then a "we'll be in touch".



Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.



Added to that, driving home in a total white-out blizzard.



Home now. Not happy at all.

#50 My sympathies, that's the height of rudeness from the potential employer in my opinion.



I sense where I work that there is a mood among some of the younger people that it's optional whether they feel like turning up for work or not.



But when you look at how many companies fail to respond to applications for jobs advertised (how long does it take to send a polite "no thanks"?), or can't be bothered to carry out interviews they have arranged, then there are plenty of large organisations that aren't setting a very good example.
