I found out I was in the Great Britain squad when I clicked onto Ceefax on Saturday afternoon.

It does not really bother me how I found out, it is just great to be involved again.

That was my main objective, to make the squad. Now the aim is to make the 17 for the first Test at Ewood Park.

I have heard Leeds plan to announce their line-up for 2003 on Friday

The Great Britain squad heads for a five-day training camp in Spain on Wednesday, so the hard work begins then.

It has also been a busy week for my club, Leeds Rhinos.

They have recruited two more players for next season, Halifax's Andrew Dunemann and Chris Feather of Wakefield.

With Dave Furner and Chris McKenna already on board, we are just waiting to see if the club brings in anyone else.

I have heard Leeds plan to announce their line-up for 2003 on Friday.

If that is the case, it does not leave them much time to make more signings.

Maybe they are happy with what they have got. But the sooner they announce the squad the better as far as I am concerned.

That way we can really start the ball rolling for next season and begin working on a few combinations.

The bulk of the squad are due back at Headingley on 24 November and I think the plan is to take us all to an army camp.

Then we get three or four weeks off to recharge the batteries in time for the start of pre-season training.

We went to South Africa as part of our build-up to the 2002 campaign.

I cannot see that happening this year. The talk is about heading to Lanzarote for seven to ten days, but I am not too sure at the moment. Nothing is set in stone.

I just hope we don't have as many warm-up games as we did last year.

We ended up playing five or six matches, which I think was too much.
