Sinfield: Forget Saints stuffing
test hellotest
By Kevin Sinfield
Leeds Rhinos star and BBC Sport Online columnist
line

We had high hopes of getting to the Challenge Cup final at Murrayfield.

It wasn't arrogance, we were just confident in the squad we had out against St Helens.

Everything had gone to plan in the build-up and we were really fired up.

We are still in the running for Super League honours so we will try to focus on that
Kevin Sinfield

Unfortunately for us, Saints came out and really battered us. I thought they were outstanding and totally deserved their victory.

If they play like that for the rest of the season they won't be beaten. They were that good.

Everything they touched turned to gold. In stark contrast, nothing went right for us.

It's difficult to accept how poor we were, but we've knuckled down in training this week.

We realise we've got a big game against Wakefield coming up on Friday night and know we must bounce back quickly.

We are still in the running for Super League honours so we will try to focus on that and try to forget the Saints game.

Saints battered us and deserved their win
They key is rediscovering our consistency.

We haven't really reached the heights of the Cup victory over Bradford and we need to get back on track.

It will be tough against Wakefield. Everybody will be expecting us to beat them but we know what a difficult task we've got.

They had a great win against Warrington a couple of weeks ago and will fancy their chances after watching us play on Sunday.

We've played them a couple of times already this season and they pushed us hard for 60 minutes on each occasion.

We've just got to match their enthusiasm and get stuck into them.
