Apart from Paris, no place has been more regularly visited by the Tour than Bordeaux, although it's the city's first return since the centenary race in 2003.

I saw the start of Stage 9 in Bordeaux on Tuesday. The crowds and enthusiasm in the town was huge. It was like a large bandwagon had taken over the town which supporters and followers there from all over the globe.
