Both Beauvais and Caen witnessed team time trials on their last Tour forays but revert to a normal flat stage this time around after the team time trial was scrapped for 2006.

I LOVE watching the tour (even post-Lance). In addition to the race itself, I like looking at the beautiful European scenery-both town and country and seeing the terrific, enthusiastic fans.

I am spending this year in Caen, France and really wanted to see the "Tour de France" cycling team but unfortunately, french people shut everything and I missed the big event. But, yes, i can say that security staff for "Tour de France" stayed in the same building as mine for 2 days. I got to see the security but never saw the candidates itself.
