UK premiere of Stockhausen’s Gruppen

At the St Andrew’s Hall in Glasgow – and broadcast live on the BBC’s Third Programme - the BBC Scottish Orchestra and Scottish National Orchestra gave the UK premiere of Stockhausen’s Gruppen für drei Orchester.
This massive work requires three conductors: on that occasion these were Alexander Gibson, Norman Del Mar and John Carewe.
