Martyn Brabbins & Evelyn Glennie, Soundbites
The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, with associate conductor Martyn Brabbins, made two series of programmes for BBC Two: Soundbites.
The programmes were presented by percussionist Evelyn Glennie and featured guest artists including the Brodsky Quartet, counter-tenor Michael Chance, saxophonist John Harle, singers Willard White, and Lesley Garrett, pianists Peter Jablonski, Melvyn Tan and Joanna MacGregor, ondes martenot player Cynthia Millar, trombonist Christian Lindberg, violinist Anne Akiko Meyers and clarinettist Dimitri Ashkenazy.
The first series was recorded at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall; the second at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh.
