'E cost me 80m naira to prepare for Guinness World Records longest distance catwalk by model' - Nigerian record breaker

Nigerian model Ololade Ayelabola no first believe say she go win Guinness World Record, but for good five days she catwalk to break di record wey chop plenti money from her hand.

Ololade say she spend 80 million naira to prepare for di contest so she go fit break di world record.

She add say she face plenti challenges bifor she begin di record-breaking catwalk contest wey give hope to odas.

Di young lady tell BBC Yoruba say e take about six months for her and her team to prepare for wetin bring her to runway spotlight.

Ololade bin achieve di Guinness World Record for di longest distance walked on a catwalk by a model.

She walk a total of 125.11km (77.75m) wen she bin stage a fashion show for Lagos last year October.

"I no know say one day go come for pesin like me to win Guinness World Record," she tok.

Di 26 years old lady narrate how she bin struggle to survive di five days wey she do di catwalk wey almost collect her leg.

During her preparation for di longest catwalk, Ololade say she do test and doctors place her on medications wey go make her bodi cope wit di contest.

"To prepare for me no easy, wit blood and sweat, e cost us a lot, I spend 80 million naira.

"For six months, me and di pipo begin dey prepare becos no be easy tin. Doctor and nurse bin give me medications so I go fit dey ready," Ololade tok.

Wetin ginger di model na di disappointment wey she don face for different catwalk and fashion show wey she don go bifor.

She say dem dey always reject her sake of her height and many pipo dey wey go dey discouraged wit dat kain feedback but she no give up.

"I go different competition but dem tell me say I short. Plenti pipo no fit survive dat kain tin, na wetin ginger me be dat."

Ololade tok say her leg peel wen she dey do di catwalk and dem gatz use bandage to pack her leg wit several treatment until she fit end di catwalk well.

Wen her leg peel during di catwalk, dem put di leg inside ice water so e go fit relieve her to do di catwalk.

"On di third day, my leg peel sake of di catwalk, on day four dem bandage my leg and put me for ice water as my leg don swell."

Now, Ololade don dey ginger to do more and follow her dreams.
