ਹਾਂ, ਇਥੇ 'quite' ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ 'ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ'। ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਜੁਆਬ ਦੇਣਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ 'quite' ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਨਰਮ ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋ ਤਰੀਕਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਕ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ,'Could you…' ਜਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ 'Could you please…' ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ 'repeat that' ਜਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ 'say that again' ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਲਗਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ 'ਦੁਹਰਾਓ'।

Did you notice that we use 'could you' and not 'can you' in these questions? 'Can you' is correct, but 'could you' is a little more polite.
